ESSENTIA HEALTH FREE FAMILY MATINEE
Woodland Sky Dance Company
Saturday, June 17, 2023

Enjoy spectacular, educational, and transformative performances from Native American Ojibwe, Menominee, Potawatomi, Lakota and Apache dancers, as they tell of historic tales and stories using traditional native songs and dances. Not only will your eyes and senses be awed with the talent of these dancers, through their regalia and dancing you will learn what it means to be Native American, and why they hold so true to themselves and their ethnicity. Everyone will take away a bit of history while being entertained through a musical theatrical production.

Established in 2013, Woodland Sky Native American Dance Company has a mission to provide a quality, authentic and respectful Native American dance performance/demonstration with experienced Native American dancers, and to educate viewers on traditional Native American stories, culture and values using authentic songs, music and dance. Comprised of Ojibwe, Lakota, Potawatomi, Menominee and Apache dancers., the company represents and portrays both men's and women's Native American dance styles which include traditional, fancy, jingle, grass and hoop.
