Big Top's summer concert season runs June through September. Events for the season are announced in waves, starting as early as December through the months and weeks leading up to the start of our season. Ticket Policies

ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES WILL BE GIVEN. 

Only in the event a performance is cancelled in its entirety, without a rescheduled date, will a refund or exchange be given. Refunds will not be given for instances of inclement weather, show duration, traffic, late arrival, or perceived quality of performance. All patrons, regardless of age must have a ticketed to be admitted into the venue, unless otherwise stated. 

ALL TICKET HOLDERS AND ATTENDEES ARE ADMITTED SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

  • Attendees grant unrestricted rights & licenses for use of their likeness in any form of public broadcast and production, and for promotional purposes. ​
  • Big Top Chautauqua reserves the right to refuse admission or evict anyone from the venue premises due to disorderly behavior without issuing a refund. 
  • Big Top Chautauqua reserves the right to search all persons, packages, bags, and other items entering venue grounds and/or other properties owned by Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua. The safety of our guests, volunteers, staff, and artists are top priority. 
  • All venue policies and procedures are subject to change without notice. ​
Ticket Fees

All ticket orders are subject to 5.5% state and local sales tax, a $3 facilities fee per ticket, and a 2% processing fee per order, up to a maximum of $8,

GATE PRICING
Tickets purchased at the venue ticket gate reflect order fees and taxes and will be rounded up to the nearest dollar to expedite the line. 
Third Party Transactions

WARNING: BIG TOP CHAUTAUQUA(BTC) DOES NOT USE THIRD PARTY TICKET SELLERS
Big Top does not work with any outside websites to sell tickets and does not work with any ticket sellers who markup ticket prices, including sites like StubHub, Cheap Concert Tickets, or Tickets Review. Big Top cannot guarantee the authenticity of tickets obtained through any other source. Big Top does replace or provide refunds for tickets purchased through eBay, Craigslist, StubHub, or any other secondary market. Any counterfeit or otherwise invalid tickets will not be honored by Big Top. 

BUYER BEWARE
Should you opt to purchase tickets from a source other than BTC, keep in mind the following:
  • Admission is not guaranteed if tickets are invalid
  • Tickets cannot be replaced if lost or stolen
  • BTC cannot contact you with information regarding time changes, show cancellations, or other pertinent information
Legitimate tickets are only available from Big Top Chautauqua directly via online purchase through our ticket page, or by calling our Box Office 715-373-5552, in person at our Box Office, or the night of the show at the venue. ​
Inclement Weather Policy

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. 

Should inclement weather pose a threat to patrons and artists, an announcement will be made from stage with information and instructions. No refunds will be given unless a performance is cancelled in its entirety, with no replacement performance scheduled. If an event is cancelled a full refund will be applied to the original card used to purchase or a credit will be applied to your account. 

In the unlikely event a performance is cancelled due to inclement weather, ticket buyers will be notified via email and an alert will be posted across our social media accounts.

How can i purchase tickets?
Tickets are available for purchase online at bigtop.org, over the phone, in person at our Box Office, and depending on ticket availability the night of the show at the venue gate. 
WHAT ARE YOUR TICKET DELIVERY OPTIONS?
We offer a number of delivery options. Whether you purchase in person or online, tickets are available for delivery through e-mail, by standard USPS mail, or you can choose to pick up tickets at Will Call.

Will Call is located at the venue gate as you enter our grounds. There will be signage to guide you as well as volunteers to help direct and assist you. ​
HOW CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE?
In order to purchase tickets online you will need to create a patron account. Please click here to view our visual how-to guide to set up a new patron account and how to buy tickets online.
I tried purchasing a ticket online and recieved a 403 error message?
We have updated our ticket software to enhance your security. Please be certain you are running the latest version of your browser.

Online security of our patrons is important to us. We are no longer able to support browsers containing known security flaws that may compromise our patrons’ security and users’ data. Using the latest internet browser helps keep you safer online and allows you to access your online account and purchase tickets from our secure server.

What do you need to do?
We strongly advise you check your browser version on your computer, laptop, tablet or mobile device you currently use to insure you have the latest, secure version.

What happens if you don’t update your browser?
Failure to use a supported browser will mean that you will be unable to access your account or purchase tickets online. You will receive an "Error 403" message.

How do you update your browser?
It’s usually easy to update your browser by visiting the website of your browser provider and downloading from there. Some browsers allow you to update from the browser menu.
I AM A BLUE CANVAS CLUB MEMBER. HOW DO I ACCESS THE PRE-SALE?
2022 Season Notice for Members. 

You no longer need a code to access the pre-sale. When pre-sale tickets go on sale just log into your patron account and the system will recognize you as a Blue Canvas Club member. 
  • Make sure that your online patron account is registered with the same email you used to enroll in the Blue Canvas Club (where you receive your Blue Canvas Club emails).
  • If you are using a different email the system will not recognize you, and thus you will not have access to the pre-sale.

will tickets sell out?
We are an intimate venue, and our tent can hold around 950 seats. Please note, seating inside the tent may sell out due to high demand. We suggest that you purchase tickets as soon as possible.

However, if a show is sold out inside the tent, we do offer the option of purchasing a general admission/lawn ticket. These tickets do not often sell out; however, availability is subject to change as we follow recommendations from the Bayfield County Health department regarding the number of attendees we can safely have on the grounds. 
what is a general admission/lawn ticket?
A general admission/lawn tickets get you on the grounds of the venue, you bring your own lawn chair or blanket, and enjoy the show from the lawn. Weather permitting, the walls of the venue will remain open for lawn viewing. 

Please note, general admission/lawn ticket holders are not permitted access inside the tent. Tickets are valid, rain or shine. No refunds will be given in the event of bad weather. 
WHAT DOES 'DANCE ALERT' MEAN?
'Dance Alerts' indicate the shows we anticipate may break out in dancing more than others. We try to make it fun for everyone. If you are not a dancer and don't want to be caught behind one, try choosing seats in the mid-center or back sections.
HOW DO I GET TICKETS FOR THE FREE FAMILY SERIES?
No tickets are given out for Free Family Series shows and events. All performances are first come, first serve seating.
