OUR ROOTS
The Big Top was founded by local musicians and storytellers with a vision to celebrate the history, folklore, and spirit of the Lake Superior region through music and performance. The venue’s first productions, featured original folk song-stories that uncovered local history, including the timber and fishing industries, the Ojibwe people, and the Great Lakes.
