ABOUT STAGENORTH
StageNorth Theater, founded by John and Ana Weinel and artist Jan Lee, has been a beloved community venue since its opening in 2001. Inspired by John Weinel's experience with the 1978 Wayzata Wind Symphony, StageNorth found its home in a renovated church in Washburn, WI, and later moved to a new, world-class facility on 123 Omaha Street in 2007. The theater, with stunning views of Lake Superior, features 150 seats, state-of-the-art technical facilities, and beautiful handcrafted details by local artists.
Now operated by Big Top Chautauqua, we’re excited to expand our reach by offering a variety of performances—comedy, theatre, music, and more—at StageNorth. This partnership allows us to bring fresh acts to the region while continuing the legacy of this beloved local venue. We can't wait to connect with new audiences and share the arts in new and exciting ways!
