The Hale House
Our lovingly restored Bayfield historic home once housed Herbert C. Hale, general manager Bayfield Transfer Railway. Mr Hale’s employer - William F. Dalrymple - had a grand vision for Bayfield. He imagined crosscountry railroads and ports up and down the Superior shore, things that would make Bayfield rival Chicago. The bustling railway and economic expansion Mr. Hale envisioned was not to be.
