LIQUID MIKE
is an indie power pop rock band from Marquette, MI, in the Upper Peninsula. Liquid Mike began in 2021 and is the product of Mike Maple’s pop-rock song writing. The band features a cast of U.P. standouts including Monica Nelson, Dave Daignault, Zack Alworden, Cody Marecek. Liquid Mike inhabits a sweet spot in the musical pantheon: catchy, well- crafted guitar and vocal hooks that will snag any fan of power-pop/pop rock. Liquid Mike invokes a relatable feeling of nostalgia with everyday lyrics of the quickly-receding flavor of Big League Chew bubblegum, drinking beer from used marinara sauce jars in college, and every 4th hand rust-bucket of a car you ever drove in a Great Lakes snowstorm. They self- released their fifth LP, “Paul Bunyan’s Slingshot” on Feb 2nd 2024.

BOSS MAMA
Singer, songwriter, guitarist and “Boss Mama” Colleen Myhre has connected with a loose band of hard-rocking desperados and dubbed them the Jebberhooch. Together, Boss Mama and the Jebberhooch put out dusty, dirty, gritty blues that rumble across the stage like a beat-up sedan over a Mississippi Delta dirt road. Their sound is a shake-and-baked helping of country soul, blood harmony and deep groove funkiness.

SALTYDOG
is a funk jam Improvisational exploration that takes the audience & band on a journey through their playfully crafted folk driven tunes inspired by the likes of everyone from The Talking Heads, The Band, those classic country and jam band staples along with everyone in between. The band spawned on the banks of Duluth’s ice covered stones by brothers Jacob and Owen Mahon. This midwestern psychedelic cowboy review features Calvin (Calzone) Lund, Lefty Johnson, Gavin St. Clair, and Sam Deters. The band’s genuine kindness, passion, enthusiasm and joy for their craft is apparent, enchanting & makes for an additive live performance. Their 2nd album Pepper dropped spring 2024 band is set to release their 3rd album in Spring 2025. The band has been known as differently original, very funky, and unpredictable in a delightful, soulful manner. There is something for everyone at a Saltydog show. TWINE
is soul captivating 5 piece band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The group is comprised of Will Effertz on electric guitar/vocals, Jon Miller-acoustic guitar/vocals, Brian (Snowman) Powers-saxophone, Scott Yonke-bass and John Hanson-drums. TWINE is known for their ability to listen to each other intently, as well as their genuine passion for "reading the room" which allows the energy of the crowd to persuade the bands direction during improvisational moments. TWINE infuses a blend of funk, folk, rock, blues, americana, and world inspired rhythms all combined into what is called the "Jam". The live performance consists of original music that paints soundwaves with imaginative lyrics, dynamic rhythms and symphonic melodies as well as covers that span generations!

MARLEE PAINE
is a 12-year-old self taught singer-songwriter from Stone Lake. She first sang at Big Top Chautauqua at just 10 years old and she's been on an incredible journey ever since! Some of her accomplishments so far include winning the Big Top Junior Idol, opening for Ricky Skaggs, being selected as the Young Star to open at Nashville North USA, and has performed at some of the Northwoods biggest festivals.

IDLE ROSE
Hybridizing parts of both their names, Laura Idle and Rose Heil form the folk duo Idle Rose. The pair has roots in the Chequamegon Bay region of Northern Wisconsin. Their soft and sweet harmonies are accompanied by acoustic guitar, baritone ukulele, washboard, and a stomp box to back the lyrics of their original songs. Both take turns writing their delicate tunes and have recorded two full-length albums together. The most recent, Little by Little, bloomed in the summer of 2025, with titles such as “Sweet Trouble,” “Ten Minute Nap,” and “Chickadee.”

HOT TAMALE COSMOS
Blending together folk, blues, country, and bluegrass, Hot Tamale Cosmos is a women-led, vocal-forward group, with every band member blending their voices into a kind of cosmic gumbo. The group features guitarist Sonja Martin of Feeding Leroy, electric guitarist Colleen Myhre of Boss Mama & the Jebberhooch, upright bassist Jen Krussow of the Field Birds and Sugar on the Roof, Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster Erin Aldridge on the fiddle, and Jocelyn Mikkelson. The five-piece band performs originals in tight harmonies, as well as covers by artists such as Iris DeMent, Bob Dylan, and Gillian Welch.

Yazmin is an accomplished musician and multi-faceted artist originally from Northern Wisconsin. Performing since age 8, she developed a passion for Cuban music in her teens, leading her to study and live there starting in 2016. Blending Cuban traditions with influences like Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, and Queen, Yazmin crafts a unique, genre-bending sound. Yazmin has toured nationally, released three albums and shared stages with artists such as Nanci Griffith, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Maykel Blanco.
